Biography

 

 

Meshach Ricardo Brencher (born March 30, 1987) is a Podcaster and Writer from Manchester. He presents The Thoughtful Type, a podcast where he gives honest thoughts and opinions into a specific topic or subject.  This podacst is a project in progress and in its early stages. There is aspirations to take it to a bigger scale if it is well received in the future. It's unknown how it could take shape.

Originally he came from a Visual Art background, where he explored performance through film, video and in live settings, before going through the transition to write freewrites, poetry, monologues and flash fiction.
His writing can be a dichotomy of being deep emotionally to complete sarcastic dry humour in a really ridiculous way. 

During his time in writing, he has been featured most recently in Stockport Write Out Loud's 'Ekphrastic' Poem Collections in 2019, Commonword’s 'Shots In The Dark' Flash Fiction Anthology in 2018, 'Elevator Fiction' Micro Narrative Anthology in 2016 and the ‘Sweet Tongues’ Food Poem Anthology in 2013. 
Formerly a member of Young Identity (Manchester's Spoken Word Collective) he written and performed in ‘Battle of the Minds’ (October 2014 and 2015) at the Contact Theatre, as part of the Manchester Literature Festival. He also performed spoken word for ‘Chaos to Order’ music project with Brighter Sound’s Echo Trace in May 2015, co-wrote and performed in ‘Stagnant Change’ in September 2015 at Z-arts.

In July 2016, Meshach was one of 87 men representing Manchester dressed as a Ghost Solider from the First World War, as part of the 100th Anniversary of The Battle of the Somme Commemorations across many parts of the UK. It was a Public Theatre Art Performance created by Conceptual Artist Jeremy Deller and the project was lead by The Royal Exchange Theatre.

 

Outside his creative pursuits, he is a Support Worker in a specialist service for Children & Young Adults with Autism and Learning Disabilties for an organisation based in Cheadle, Stockport, UK.

Meshach himself has Autism, more specifically Asperger's Syndrome (which is under the umbrella ASD(C) diagnosed in January 2015 in addition with Dysexecutive Syndrome. Meshach also has dyslexia.

Meshach also is a member of Manchester Handball Club and first joined in September 2010 and made his official debut in September 2011. He won the North West Regional League in 2015/2016 season with Manchester HC's Development Team and 2016 Manchester Handball Christmas Tournament. He took a year away from the sport but return in Autumn 2019 to play a full season in the National League North before the coronavirus brought the season to a close towards the end of March 2020.

 

Meshach has various other interests and hobbies like running, cycling, playing chess, puzzle games, an obsession with the Rubik's cube and has a eclectic mix of various music tastes.
